Aston Martin's new headquarters in Silverstone is currently under construction. For this, Jordan's historic factory will have to make way: the building will be demolished in 2023.

Historic Jordan factory to be demolished

The former headquarters was built in 1991 at the behest of team boss Eddie Jordan. After this, it was occupied by Jordan and in later years by the team's various new owners. After the sale of Jordan at the end of 2005, the team changed hands several times and with it its name.
In 2006, for instance, the team went through life as Midland, the following year as Spyker, followed by ten years as Force India. In 2018, the team came into the hands of Lawrence Stroll and was renamed Racing Point, before becoming Aston Martin from 2021.
In a video on the YouTube-channel of Aston Martin, project manager Guy Austin gives a tour of the site and reveals the plans for the new headquarters. He also discusses the demolition of the historic Jordan factory, which he himself designed in 1990.
