Vijay Mallya hopes and believes that his Force India side can repeat last year's season and finish in fourth place again.

Force India are currently sixth in the Constructors' standings, just a couple of points behind Haas and 21 behind Renault, who occupy their place from last season.

The side have had many setbacks and fines to pay this season, Mallya still remains very positive about his side's rest of the season

Renault look Force India's biggest danger this season in terms of solidating fourth position.

The French side do have much more of a budget to spend from, but Mallya still has his eyes set firmly on the spot Renault are currently holding.

"Our start was very nice," Mallya told Motorsport-Total.

"With four races where our drivers were involved in incidents at the start of the race.

"We have partly been able to repackage and thus get past McLaren, partly because we have come up with new updates.

"In the upcoming races and also immediately after the summer break, we will come up with some updates that will hopefully give us a chance to get back to fourth place."

Force India managed to get both of their drivers, Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez in the points last weekend, with 7th and 10th place respectively.
