According to Jack Plooij, there is almost a deal between Williams and Porsche. The former Ziggo Sport pit reporter made this known in the channel's post-race review after the US Grand Prix.
The FIA already revealed in its latest statement that, in addition to Audi's deal, talks between Porsche and several F1 teams are also being held. Porsche hoped to buy into Red Bull Racing, but the Austrians did not want to sell 50 per cent of the team. Therefore, the deal ultimately fell through.

Porsche is said to still be in talks with other teams, of which a deal with Williams is now said to be as good as done, according to Plooij. ''Latest news: Porsche is talking to Williams. 50 per cent owner and supplier of engines from 2026. Almost done that deal'', Plooij informed in the Ziggo Sport broadcast.
Plooij does not cite a source for this message but does state that the deal is therefore almost done. This would give the Volkswagen Group two names in F1 from 2026. Audi previously announced itself as an engine supplier from 2026 and is likely to announce a deal with Sauber this year.
