Mick Schumacher will be out of action during FP2 at the Japanese GP weekend. The German crashed after the end of the first practice session and his Haas VF-22 is damaged to the extent that he cannot take to the track.

Friday is over for Schumacher

Practice was long over and the practice starts were done when Schumacher still lost control of his car and ended up in the wall. During the session on the soaking wet Suzuka Circuit, we saw several drivers struggling briefly, including a few moments from Charles Leclerc, but everyone kept the car out of the wall. So at the last minute things went wrong for Schumacher after all.

According to BBC, Haas has confirmed that the chassis of Schumacher's car is damaged and the German will not be able to get on track in the second practice session. The entire chassis will reportedly have to be replaced.
