Hamilton summoned by stewards after FP1

Sebastian Vettel impeded Lando Norris in the closing stages of the first free practice session and it was already known that the race committee was looking into it. It has now been decided to send the four-time World Champion to the stewards. Vettel, however, is not the only driver who will have to answer to the stewards.

Lewis Hamilton is also suspected of having held up someone unnecessarily. The Mercedes driver is expected at 2.30pm local time at the stewards' office with a representative of his team to clarify matters. Ten minutes later it is Vettel's turn.

Grid penalties are regularly handed out for hindering drivers who are in a fast run. The most common penalty is being put back three places on the starting grid.
