Full results Belgian GP | Verstappen takes ninth win of 2022

Max Verstappen followestic Saturday with a great rad up a fantace at Spa-Francorchamps. The Dutchman had to start from 14th position, but that did not bother him. After 18 laps, the reigning world champion was back in the lead after he managed to outsmart Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari.

Not much later, Sergio Perez followed his teammate's example. The Mexican passed Sainz to take second place. The Ferrari driver was visited by George Russell in the closing stages of the race, but he managed to secure third place.

Russell is keeping up the Mercedes honour in the Ardennes after Lewis Hamilton crashed out in the opening stages. Charles Leclerc finished fifth ahead of both Alpine drivers, but a time penalty put him between Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon. The remaining points went to Sebastian Vettel, Pierre Gasly and Alexander Albon in the Williams.
