Perez has confidence in Red Bull: "Hopefully we can stay ahead"

Sergio Perez has completely found his feet in his second year at Red Bull Racing. In Italy and Australia, the Mexican managed to secure second place. However, he is not yet sure how this race weekend will go given the completely different conditions, as teammate Max Verstappen also pointed out.

Perez is confident that Red Bull can also compete this weekend, he indicated during the press conference on Sky Sports. However, in words similar to those of his teammate, he also warns that the conditions will be completely different this weekend.

Perez hopes for repeat Imola

"None of us have driven under these conditions and it will be interesting to see how the tyres work," says the Mexican. He is curious about how the grip level will be, but also how long the Pirelli tires will last.

Being competitive and putting on a great race for the fans is the top priority, according to Perez. "It can change race by race. We were far odd in Melbourne and then ahead in Imola hopefully we can keep ahead this weekend," Perez said.
