Max Verstappen took a very dominant victory in Imola. Because he won the sprint race, won the Grand Prix and drove the fastest lap, the world champion conquered no less than 34 points. A better proof that he was the best, could not be given.

Dominant

Unlike the previous three Grands Prix, there was no intense battle with Charles Leclerc this time. The championship leader also had no chance against the unleashed Verstappen, who seemed to be driving in his own league. Red Bull Racing has not been this dominant before this season.

It didn't come as a huge surprise to Verstappen that his team came out so strong. "It's always difficult to achieve something like that, but yesterday and the day before we were already in good shape," Verstappen said during the press conference. "I think it looked like a strong weekend. Today, yes, with the weather you never know how competitive you will be, but I think as a team we did everything right and I think this one-two is very deserved."

Watch out

From the sidelines, it looked like it was a walk in the park for Verstappen. Only the start seemed to be a moment where he had to work hard. "Yes, the start was of course very important. But also after that (it was looking out), looking at the conditions and the moment to change to slicks. And the first lap with the slicks you can't make mistakes."
