Formula 1 has some very talented drivers who could go far in the coming years, as Emerson Fittipaldi knows. The Brazilian, who managed to win the world championship in 1972 and 1974, thinks that Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen will have a hard time in the coming years. He tells this in an interview with Vegainsider.com.

Both men are battling each other for the world title this season. Although Verstappen has the most experience after last year's race, he had to deal with two crashes in the opening phase of the season. As a result, the gap to Leclerc has now grown quite far.

Fittipaldi sees multiple talents in Formula 1

This season, apart from Ferrari and Red Bull Racing, no other teams are fighting for the top prize, but Fittipaldi expects a lot from the coming years. The South American is impressed, among others, by McLaren driver Lando Norris and Mercedes driver George Russell, both of whom he sees as having bright futures.

"I think Lando Norris has already established himself as what I call a potential, World Champion material," explains Emerson Fittipaldi, who also has a big compliment left for George Russell. "He can make good results, no doubt about that."
