Finally we can say it again: it's race week. This week the Bahrain Grand Prix is scheduled and with it the start of the 2022 Formula One season. Find out what time and where to switch on for the upcoming GP.

The 2022 F1 season is a year where all the rules have been shaken up, teams have built a completely new car and it remains to be seen which team will come out on top. Although some things became clear during the winter test, you can never be sure how everyone is truly doing.

What time does the Bahrain Grand Prix start?

The teams will stay in Bahrain after the final test, as the first race will also be there. The first free practice starts as usual on Friday, but later than before. Where the Formula 1 weekend normally always started on Thursday, the press conferences of that Thursday have now been shifted to Friday morning, in order to shorten the race weekend slightly for all involved.

For Bahrain, it means that the first session will start at 12pm UK time and the second free practice will be at 3pm. On Saturday, third free practice and qualifying will happen at 12 and 15:00 respectively, just like Friday's action. The race also starts on Sunday at 3pm.

Where to follow the GP

You won't have to miss any of the action right here on GPblog. Each session can be followed with a live blog, which appears on the website an hour before the session starts. Furthermore, as usual, you will be the first to find the reactions of all the drivers, the results of the sessions and much more.
