Zhou enters first F1 season confident and proud with Alfa Romeo

Guanyu Zhou kicked off his career as a Formula 1 driver during the winter test in Barcelona, but the livery of his car still had to be revealed. That happened on Sunday morning, when Alfa Romeo officially launched the new C42.

Zhou responds to Alfa Romeo's C42

Zhou will embark on his first season in Formula 1 at Alfa Romeo this year after a successful career in Formula 3 and Formula 2. The Chinese driver is ready for this new challenge. "I am fully pumped up for the season and seeing the C42 in the livery in which I will race it definitely makes it real. We are at the beginning of a new era, with new cars and new regulations, and this creates an opportunity for all teams to make progress since we are all starting from scratch," he said in the Italian team's official press release.

The rookie is also at the beginning of a new era together with his team and that offers Alfa Romeo a chance to start again from the beginning and achieve good results. The 22-year-old driver is especially happy with all the support from the team as they start a new era together and he embarks on his career in Formula 1.
