'Formula One teams possibly forced into fast runs as early as Thursday'

The afternoon program of the second day of testing in Barcelona could be very interesting. Craig Slater at Sky Sports that there is a good chance that teams will make a quick run in the afternoon.  

The morning program of the second day of testing in Barcelona is almost over. The drivers will take a break, before getting back in at 1pm. At that time it might become interesting to keep an eye on the times, because that might be the last chance for a fast run.

Rain in Barcelona

On Friday in the afternoon Pirelli will run a rain program in Barcelona. For this the track will be made wet to test the rain tires. This might not even be necessary, as the forecast for the whole day is already rain. This would prevent teams from doing a fast run on Friday.

According to Slater, Thursday afternoon could be very interesting. The conditions are then the best in terms of temperature and the teams may also want to include a fast run in their program. ''Then we might have a better idea how fast these cars are,'' the Briton concludes.
