Formula 1 teams will have to deal with the new regulations this calendar year. It should ensure that the gap between drivers is smaller and spectators can see more spectacle. Ross Brawn is expecting a lot from the changes.

Formula 1's sporting director worked hard behind the scenes to shape the new regulations and is satisfied with what has been devised so far. It is then up to the teams to build their cars according to the agreements. Brawn is eager to see what they will be racing within two months' time.

Brawn announces possible new changes

The past has taught him that sometimes one team handles changes more imaginatively than other teams do. Brawn, therefore, takes into account that there will still be some teams that will stand out. In an interview with New York Times Brawn does not exclude the possibility that Formula 1 will supplement the rules in the coming years to increase the tension even more.

"Our process won’t stop," he stressed in the interview. "Once we see the new cars race, we’ll see the solutions the teams have come up with, and we’ll evaluate them and make sure we’re not losing the momentum on this initiative to make the cars more race-able."
