MotoGP fan favourite Jack Miller was full of praise for his new Prima Pramac Yamaha teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu at the team’s launch event in Siena earlier this week.
The former Ducati rider endured a difficult season in 2025, which he admitted had given him “plenty of bumps and bruises” as he adjusted to the challenges of his new Yamaha machinery.
Now entering his second year with the team after a two-year spell at KTM alongside Brad Binder, Miller is welcoming a new teammate who has already caused plenty of buzz around the MotoGP paddock.
In an interview during Pramac’s season launch event, Miller was asked whether he would be taking up a mentorship role within the team alongside his “rookie” teammate.“He don’t need a mentor I don’t think,” Miller remarked cheerfully, “He’s an absolute legend of a bloke, you know, we’ve had a great couple of days here getting to know each other away from the track.”
The pair seem to have sparked up a good relationship as teammates, which Pramac are hoping will get the most out of their Yamaha V4 engine this year.
It’s been nice to get to know him as a person and I’m really looking forward to this year." continued Miller,"Pramac’s generally known as quite a family-oriented team and Toprak really embraces that sort of atmosphere so it’s going to be an awesome addition to the team.

While Toprak himself has made clear that 2026 will very much be a “learning year” for him and for Yamaha in general, many fans are excited to see what the Turkish phenomenon can achieve in the premier class.
Two-time WSBK champion James Toseland said of Toprak: "He is the ultimate showman. Every race you go to, around the BMW garage, honestly, the last time I saw this kind of fanbase on every race was Valentino Rossi."
Should Toprak impress for Pramac alongside Miller this season, he may well find himself in contention for a factory Yamaha seat alongside Fabio Quartararo for 2027.
