Wedding on the horizon? Did Kelly Piquet reveal more than she intended?

In her first media appearance since the birth of daughter Lily, Kelly Piquet discussed her relationship with Max Verstappen. She mentioned, among other things, that it's natural for her to live with a racer, probably because her father is Nelson Piquet - a three-time Formula 1 world champion.

Kelly Piquet then added: “Eventually, I did marry an F1 driver. Or well, not married yet, but we have started a family.”

Not married yet — so said Verstappen's girlfriend. Immediately, one wonders: is it in the plans? From what we’ve read, probably. And has Max popped the big question yet? It’s possible, or maybe not. If he has, when’s the big day? Has that been set?

Either way, no one would be surprised if, sooner or later, the announcement comes: Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet are tying the knot!

While we wait to see if and when the two will walk down the aisle, the four-time world champion also has a major decision to make about his future in Formula 1. The Dutchman still has a long-term contract with Red Bull running through 2028, but the Mercedes and Aston Martin rumours continue to make headlines.

Speaking of Aston Martin, team principal Andy Cowell responded to recent remarks made by Adrian Newey, who claimed that it would take the British team at least two years to compete at the highest level. Will Verstappen ultimately decide to rejoin force with Newey?
