Conditions at the street circuit in Rome certainly cannot be called easy. That has everything to do with the heatwave that has hit southern Europe: a maximum temperature of 36 degrees is forecast on Saturday, while on Sunday the mercury could reach 38 degrees.

Moments for Sette Camara, Ticktum and Frijns in FP2 Rome

There was a brief yellow flag early in the session after Sergio Sette Camara and Dan Ticktum shot straight ahead at turn seven. Later, it was Frijns who made a mistake. The Dutchman spun on exiting turn sixteen, but was able to continue his way without any problems.
In the end, it was Evans who ran away with the fastest time. He was six tenths quicker than championship leader Dennis, who in turn managed to stay ahead of Da Costa.
