Felipe Drugovich was already in action for Aston Martin for half a day on the first day of testing and this will be the case again on Friday. Aston Martin has just announced that the Brazilian test and reserve driver will get another half-day on track.
Drugovich will make his appearance in the morning session, with Fernando Alonso taking his place in the AMR23 after the lunch break. The Spanish two-time world champion will take the entire day today (Friday).
Lance Stroll reportedly broke a wrist last week. The Canadian driver will not be there in Bahrain this week and it remains to be seen whether he will be fit in time for the first Grand Prix of the season next week. Stroll is reportedly currently in a cast.
For Drugovich, last year's Formula 2 champion, it would mean his official debut in Formula 1. Stoffel Vandoorne, Aston Martion's other reserve driver, is also still an option. However, the Belgian driver does not consider his chances to be that great.
