Red Bull Racing and McLaren roll out new update package for Baku

The Austrian team has brought performance and reliability updates for both Max Verstappen and the returning Isack Hadjar ahead of the weekend in Baku. Two of the performance updates concern revised floor and diffuser geometries, as well as a revised split line on the floor, all aimed at extracting more local load.

Alongside these changes, the cooling louvres have been revised to suit the sidepod for reliability reasons, while the mirrors and halo have been revised to improve flow conditioning.

McLaren has also brought a large package with seven performance-based updates, and one circuit-specific one.

The MCL40 features a revised sidepod inlet shape, engine cover and coke line, floor edge shape, diffuser layout, and rear suspension fairings. It also has an alternative sidepod shape and an alternative straight-line mode position. For the Baku street circuit, the car features a new louvre layout as well.

Meanwhile, Ferrari and Mercedes have brought no updates to this weekend in Baku.

Williams has brought a total of five performance-based updates to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with changes to the car's floor, tail, front and rear corners, and rear suspension.

In its battle for fifth place in the constructors' standings, Racing Bulls have three performance-based changes ready for this weekend, with updates to the car's front wing, front corner, and front suspension.

Audi has the biggest package for the upcoming weekend with a total of 14 changes to its car. The German outfit made changes to the car's front wing and front suspension, floor, and the rear wing and rear suspension as well.

Cadillac has three changes in place. The American outfit has updated brake cooling inlet and exit duct profiles, as well as revised suspension fairing surfaces and winglet lower-edge geometry.

Alpine, Haas, and Aston Martin, have submitted no updates for this weekend.
