The rumours first came out on Monday evening, but it has now been officially confirmed by Ferrari: Vettel will be driving for Ferrari in 2020, but at the end of 2020 Sebastian Vettel will have to pack his bags and leave Maranello.
It had been hanging in the air for a while but nobody could have predicted that there would be clarity before the start of the Formula 1 season. However, after the wild rumours of Monday night, Ferrari confirmed Tuesday morning that Vettel will not be a Ferrari driver from 2021 onwards.

Ferrari chooses another path

This puts an end to the long collaboration between Vettel and Ferrari that started in 2015 and was to yield a world title in the end. Misses in 2017 and 2018 occurred those titles and so Ferrari throws another tack with Charles Leclerc.
However, speculation can begin now, because who will be the replacement for Vettel in Maranello. Is it Carlos Sainz, Daniel Ricciardo or perhaps someone else? And what about Vettel? Can he make another step to another team, which team will that be or will he hang his helmet on the willows? Enough to talk about!
