Lando Norris has confirmed on social media that he has tested positive for coronavirus. The Brit is currently on holiday in Dubai before returning to training for the new season.
McLaren said in a statement on Twitter that Norris suffered from loss of smell and taste. After the 21-year-old driver noticed the symptoms, he was tested for COVID-19 and the test turned out to be positive.
Norris is currently on holiday in Dubai where he will now have to spend the next fortnight in self-isolation in his hotel. He continues to feel healthy and has no other symptoms. Norris is the latest driver to test positive following Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton.
