BREAKING | Max Verstappen is the 2021 Formula 1 World Champion

Max Verstappen is World Champion. After a thrilling battle for the world title with Lewis Hamilton, Verstappen has won his first-ever world title in Formula 1.

Verstappen made his debut in Formula 1 in 2015, joining Toro Rosso to become the youngest driver ever to compete in F1. A year later, he made his debut at Red Bull Racing in Barcelona where he immediately won his first race for the team. Since then, the career of the Limburger has progressed quickly, but he never had the chance to compete for the world title before this year.

Verstappen, therefore, missed out on taking the record of youngest world champion away from Sebastian Vettel, but the Red Bull driver is the very first Dutchman to win a world title in F1. His driving style, podium finishes and spectacular victories have already created hype in his home country, but that hype will now only increase.
