The last
Formula 1 race dates back to 1985, but this weekend
Zandvoort will finally host another race. The circuit in the dunes will be the scene of a new battle for the lead in the world championship between
Lewis Hamilton and
Max Verstappen.
Green light
The definitive continuation of the race remained uncertain for a long time after environmental organization MOB started a last-minute case against the
Dutch Grand Prix. It would not be responsible to race a weekend in
Zandvoort because of the environment. Fortunately, the judge gave the green light for the event to go ahead.
Silverware
And whether it will be
Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, or someone else, there will have to be a trophy. And with that trophy, the MOB will be more than happy. The "silverware" is made from recycled Heineken bottles and crates.
