Car flies into grandstand at Portimao

The Porsche Sprint Challenge takes place over the weekend of the FIA World Endurance Championship's 6 Hours of Portimao. Areia lost control of his car in a sharp corner, sending it off the track. The car then went into the gravel pit at high speed, before flying over the fence into the grandstand. Both Areia and the spectators present came away with a scare.
"I had no brakes at the end of the straight, after that I became a passenger," Areia wrote on his social media. "Fortunately, no one was sitting in that part of the grandstand and I myself was unhurt thanks to the safety level of the car."
