In order for a Formula 1 car to get the most out of its position, a lot of preparatory work has to be done by both the team and the driver. It is then even more frustrating if, despite all this effort, you have no grip at the start at all.
However, that is exactly what happened to Max Verstappen at the Turkish Grand Prix. On the recording of the onboard radio during the formation lap you can hear how much work it takes to have the car, engine, and tyres optimally tuned for a super start.
