Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff believes that Formula E will never reach a stage where it's as big as Formula One. It will be hard for anything to overtake F1 due to the amount of money it makes and the popularity of it is huge.
"No, Formula 1 has 60 years of history and generates two billion viewers a year. Formula E has a fraction of that. I don't think it can be as big as Formula 1," Wolff told Motorsport-total.com.
"Formula E has an exciting start and you have to give these starters a chance. That's how it can establish itself.
"Some of the current market leaders started out as small companies ten years ago. Formula E is an alternative platform. It's urban, takes place in the cities and is more fun than hardcore racing. But the technology is interesting. "
Wolff was once again part of the Mercedes team who won both championship title double as Lewis Hamilton secured the drivers' championship
