Sebastian Vettel has revealed that Ferrari’s upgrades have already had a positive effect on the car after they dominated Friday practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc topped both sessions, with Vettel just behind in second both times, and the German believes that the updates have improved the car.
These improvements were much needed after a very disappointing season so far, which has seen Mercedes record three 1-2 finishes on the spin.
When asked about the difference the upgrades have made, Vettel said: “It’s tough to say, the track was quite poor, slippery and dusty.
“It took a while to ramp up, maybe tomorrow will be a better day to make a final judgement but it felt good. All the numbers seemed to stack up so that’s a good sign.

“We crossed checked as much as we could this morning so let’s see tomorrow how fast we can be.”
