It was already clear that Mercedes would continue racing in Formula 1 past 2021, but now Toto Wolff says the team will be involved until at least 2025.
A lot of teams are uncertain following the array of rule changes set to hit the sport in 2021 but the current champions are way ahead of that. Italian media source Corriere Dello Sport report that new president Daimler AG, Ola Källenius has decided on their future.
Their current Formula E program will continue moving forward however, their Le Mans plans might have to take a step back.
This confirmation might mean that Mercedes have a stronger say in how the regulations change in 2021. It also means that Lewis Hamilton can stay on at the Silver Arrows and break more records.
