The rumours are getting stronger that Michael Andretti will return to Formula 1. The former driver is said to be close to taking over Sauber, which Lawrence Stroll thinks is good news.
Stroll has been the owner of Aston Martin Racing for some time now and so he knows what it's like to have a team under his belt. According to the Canadian businessman, Andretti would be wise to step into Formula 1 to contribute to future performance.
"Andretti’s a great name. I know the family and I think they’d be a great addition to the sport, if it’s true," Stroll stated in conversation with Torontosun.com. "I don’t know much about it other than that I heard in the paddock last race that there was potentially some activity there."

Unstable season for Aston Martin

With Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin has strong drivers in Formula 1 again this season, but the team's performance has been volatile. Whereas the German is in twelfth place with 35 points, Stroll has so far scored nine points less. In the Constructors' Championship Aston Martin is currently in seventh place with 61 points. Number six AlphaTauri has 31 points more.
