George Russell finished in 16th at the Mexican Grand Prix and the Brit felt that it was a "missed opportunity" for him. He began the race relatively strongly, going positions in the opening corners, but quickly lost them.
"I spent most of the race right behind Robert, but I think he had a problem near the end and had to do an additional pitstop, " Russell explained after the race.
"In the final 10 laps I was in clear air and the pace was extremely strong, so if I’d managed to hold onto those positions after the first few corners then I could have maintained them.
"A bit of a missed opportunity and we should have finished higher."
Russell is the only driver yet to pick up a point so far this season and
Williams have only secured one themselves through
Robert Kubica in what has been another incredibly tough season.
