Oliver Mintzlaff, CEO of Corporate Projects and New Investments of Red Bull GmbH, still has confidence that Max Verstappen will clinch his fifth consecutive world title in 2025. That's what the German reportedly told the staff of the Austrian company during a thirty-minute speech, according to Bild

As became known last week, Christian Horner, the team boss and CEO of Red Bull Racing, was put on notice. This was after a decision by Mintzlaff, among others. He had also heard that Verstappen wanted Horner's power to be reduced, although there was already a preference for the team boss to completely leave.

That last bit has indeed happened, and Red Bull has started a new chapter. According to Bild, regarding this, Mintzlaff said, "We have to switch gears, look ahead and stand strong together. As a team, we have achieved great things, and we will continue to do so in the future."

Can Verstappen still claim the world title?

He also addressed the rest of the Formula 1 season, where he is said to have stated: "The championship is not lost yet!"

With this last statement, Mintzlaff does not agree with Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has been saying for some time that he is not looking toward the championship, knowing that McLaren's position is currently too strong. Oscar Piastri, as the championship leader, currently has a 69-point lead over Verstappen.

In the constructors' standings, Red Bull is even further behind. McLaren has 460 points after twelve out of the twenty four Grands Prix, ahead of Ferrari (222). Mercedes is third (210), followed by Red Bull (172). A miracle is needed for Red Bull to come out on top in this title fight.
