Charles Leclerc has admitted he can offer little advice to teammate Lewis Hamilton amid his challenging campaign with the Scuderia Ferrari team. “I don’t really have any advice to give him [Hamilton]. But it’s certainly a long process.”
- Charles LeclercThe Monegasque driver, who spoke to GPblog during media day at the Qatar Grand Prix, highlighted how he remains focused on maximising performance on his end before noting how difficult it is to offer advice to Hamilton, whom he acknowledged has achieved more than himself in the sport.
“My job is obviously to maximise whatever I can control, and there are already so many things I’m focused on for myself and the team to make sure my driving fits the car in the best possible way,” Leclerc began.
“It’s obviously difficult for me to also spend time advising Lewis, who has achieved a lot more than I ever did. I don’t really have any advice to give him. But it’s certainly a long process,” he added.

The 28-year-old continued by highlighting the difficulty adapting to a new team.
“Whenever you join a new team… I don’t even remember what it’s like to join a new team. I’ve been at Ferrari for eight years, so I know how it works, and everything feels very natural. But for Lewis, it’s still kind of new, even after a year.”
“The processes are completely different, the way you have the vision, the team, the way you work, all of that still takes some time to get used to,” Leclerc concluded.
Hamilton admits no regret joining Ferrari
Hamilton, on his part, has
stated he doesn’t regret signing a contract with the Ferrari outfit. The seven-time champion, who reflected on his campaign so far, also acknowledged that he wasn’t looking back at his debut season but focusing on the next one.
The 40-year-old concluded by highlighting the work ethic of the Ferrari staff before closing with praise for the Tifosi.
