Hamilton worries about fans: 'Because of that they don't get their money'

Lewis Hamilton is not at all satisfied about the way Sunday went at Spa-Francorchamps. According to the Brit it is all about money, and the outcome of the race had nothing to do with racing.

It was a long Sunday in Belgium for Lewis. The Briton wasn't able to get the best out of his car in qualifying on Saturday, and on Sunday it became increasingly clear that he was going to pay a heavy price for that. In the end, the result of qualifying became the result of the race.

''there was no point at which we could race so there wasn’t a race, but there is a rule that says for it to be a legal race, it has to be – I think – a minimum of two laps so they knew that and they sent us out for two laps behind the safety car'', Hamilton revealed on the press conference after the race.

The Brit says he is worried about the fans not getting their money back. ''That activates a bunch of things and I don’t know all the politics and the background but my most concern is that the fans should probably get their money back, I think, and I don’t know if by doing the two laps it means they don’t and that’s… I just don’t think that’s what we want. We have better values than that as a sport,'' the Mercedes driver concluded.
