After Lewis Hamilton drove himself into the wall during Q3, the drama for Mercedes is now complete: just after the session resumed, George Russell also retired. Neither Mercedes driver is able to qualify well in Austria.
After making a comeback at Silverstone, things looked good for Mercedes in Austria too. Both Hamilton and Russell were able to set good lap times, but both ended Q3 in the wall.
Second red flag in Q3 by Mercedes
