Fernando Alonso is currently still in hospital for observation after an incident on his bike. However, the fact that the fracture in the upper jaw is believed to have occurred is positive news, according to Dr. José Gonzalez.
Alpine announced on Friday morning that the rumours of a broken jaw were indeed true. Fernando Alonso was hit by a car and fractured his upper jaw. Alpine assumes that Alonso will be able to return to training soon and will start the F1 season as usual. This is confirmed by Gonzalez.

Alonso makes the start of the season

''At first, I was very surprised that there was no diagnosis in the first statement from Alpine. They wanted to wait for more clarity on Friday, and that is usually a sign that it is nothing serious. He will probably have had an X-ray by then, but they want to do an MRI and CT scan as well'', Gonzalez told As.com.
Speaking to the Spanish medium, the doctor said that with this diagnosis it is clear that Alonso will make the start of the season. ''When it became clear that it was the jaw, it is clear that in any case, it is not a serious injury. I can therefore be almost certain that he will make it to the winter test in Bahrain without any problems.''
