Max Verstappen is the most recent guest of the Red Bull Racing podcast, Talking Bull and the Dutchman makes two revelations that serve as insights into how important sim racing is for him.
Verstappen is dedicated sim racer and has a rather effective approach to make sure it remains a part of his life. ‘’I like to race myself besides F1. Whenever I can combine all those things together, I mean, there are 24 hours in a day, so  if you can spend a few hours in the sim it works out.''

Verstappen is thus very active on the simulator, but will he ever buy a simulator for Lily? ‘’It's definitely much cheaper than racing in real life, so I have to think about that,’’ Verstappen answers. The Dutchman drives in his simulator using a pink steering wheel, something that reveals a 'girl dad' aspect of him. ‘’I got and I was like 'that has to go on the simulator now.'"
Lily will undoubtedly be exposed to her father's hobby early on, but when did the world champion first come into contact with a racing car? ‘’I remember I was like 3 or 4 years old when my dad (Jos Verstappen, ed.) was still racing in F1 remember that I saw this little mock-up cockpit. "
"And I was trying to squeeze into it, I was of course way too small, but they found a way with pillows so that I could drive basically and someone was controlling the pedals and I was steering already."
