The expectation was that Red Bull would have a fast car at Istanbul Park, but nothing was further from the truth. Already from Friday Mercedes showed to be very fast on this track and Verstappen didn't come close to the times of his rivals all weekend.

In terms of top speed, Mercedes were 15 to 20bhp faster than Red Bull on the straights. Christian Horner informed the FIA that he has asked them a number of questions.
