Sebastian Vettel was left empty handed after the Italian Grand Prix. Where several drivers crashed out, including Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, it proved too difficult for him to drive in the top ten.

The German was by no means lucky during the race, as Vettel collided with his teammate Lance Stroll, among others. "There's not much to say", he told Speedweek.com. "I caught the chicane and actually had the better line and then had to avoid the collision with Lance. I caught the chicane, almost got pushed off the track on the first lap and lost all the positions I had gained at the start. After that, my race was done."

He also came into contact with Mick Schumacher, although the Haas driver could do little about that according to Vettel. "With Mick it was a bit of a misunderstanding. I didn't know he was so close to me, but I also braked a bit in the first corner and just wanted to look at the exit. That's why it was a bit of a surprise for him. There was no intention behind it."

Vettel is currently in 12th place in the world championship. The German driver gained 35 points, putting him ten points behind number eleven Esteban Ocon.
