In 2019, Pierre Gasly seemed to have made the dream move to a top team, namely Red Bull Racing. However, that dream came crashing down halfway through the year when he was replaced by Alexander Albon. Now, the Frenchman seems to have regained his form and that is not going unnoticed at Red Bull either.

Gasly reveals in conversation with Motorsport.com that he entered into talks with Helmut Marko after the double-header in Austria. "We sat around the table in Austria, we had a very good lunch together there," explains the AlphaTauri driver.

Good talks with Red Bull

"We talked about all sorts of things. It was very positive to hear a bit more about their ideas and plans, and how they see the future. Because we still have a contract for a longer period". Gasly also let it be known that he does not expect to leave the Red Bull family.

"We will see what the future brings. I know how satisfied they are with my performance and with what I bring to the team. So I have to keep focusing on that and then we'll see what happens. But it was good to have this conversation", Gasly concludes.
