Bottas: P2 was 'the maximum we could get'

Valtteri Bottas has bounced back from a difficult few weeks with yet another impressive performance in Austria. He finished in second after he was handed the spot when teammate Lewis Hamilton had problems with his car. It's his best result so far in 2021.

Battle with McLaren

"For me, it was one place better than last weekend where I started from fifth. We got some decent points considering the gap we had to Red Bull in terms of pace. It's nice to be on the podium in second place. It's the maximum we could get." Bottas said after the race.

"The McLaren was surprisingly fast. They put a lot of pressure on. In two weeks we go to Silverstone, there's still work to do, but for now I'm going to enjoy the champagne."
