Max Verstappen has scored another victory during the Styrian Grand Prix. The Dutchman was much faster than his competitor Lewis Hamilton who finished second.

The Red Bull Racing driver was satisfied with the result. "It's always difficult to estimate in advance how things will go," Verstappen told Ziggo Sport. "In the beginning, the lap times stayed the same for a while, so we were a bit evenly matched. The last ten laps of that stint we saw that we had a good speed and that Mercedes went through the tyres earlier than us. Then they had to go in and then we reacted to that."

Verstappen additionally explained where his problem arose with the brake pedal. According to his team, it had to do with the kerbs. "Normally it shouldn't have anything to do with that, but with braking, for the last corner, my whole pedal dropped twice. So for a moment, I had no brake, but on exit, it came back again. Not very nice."

GP of Austria

The Dutchman doesn't expect it to be as easy again in Austria next week. "We have softer compounds, one step. And of course, now everyone is going to analyse what they did right and what they did wrong, so I do expect it to be hugely close."
