Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin drive at the back of the field every weekend, but the finishes they achieved in Azerbaijan put Haas in ninth place in the Constructors' Championship, ahead of Williams F1. Mick Schumacher was therefore certainly not dissatisfied with the weekend in Baku and is looking forward to the triple header that lies ahead.

In an interview with Speedweek.com , the young German talks about a good weekend in Azerbaijan, which needs to be followed up in France. "We put in a good team performance in Azerbaijan. We didn't take it easy, but we worked our way to the front and with the result we can be satisfied, especially with the advance to ninth place in the constructors' championship." Schumacher is looking forward to the triple header scheduled for France and Austria from next weekend. He sees it as a challenge.

"It will be intense, but it will also be fun because we will be spending more time as a team and constantly driving. At the end of the day, racing is what we love most, so I'm not complaining. Physically, I'm not worried anyway. I had prepared for the season very seriously. Every kilometer of racing counts and enriches the experience. During training you can of course simulate and practice a lot, but the best driving experience is a Grand Prix. You can't simulate the pressure in the race. So I'm happy with the season so far", said the German.

Schumacher on Paul Ricard

Schumacher will drive the Paul Ricard circuit for the first time in a Formula One car. Nevertheless, he has had plenty of experience there in the past.

"I was once in the south of France for a Formula 3 test. We have enough run-off zones there, to say the least. The circuit itself has a nice flow, you can also play a bit with different lines. It will be a problem to stay within the limits of the circuit. For the rest, what always applies is: get the best out of your car and seize opportunities later if they arise." So Schumacher knows roughly what to expect. He and Mazepin will try to have a good weekend in France.
