Verstappen does not look at Perez: 'Best out of myself, then it will be okay'

Max Verstappen is looking forward to the start of the season. After a good winter test, Red Bull Racing is perhaps the favorite to start the season, and with Sergio Perez, Verstappen has an experienced teammate this year.

Verstappen had an excellent winter test in Bahrain. The Dutchman set the fastest time, drove many laps and was satisfied with the balance. The Dutchman doesn't want to say much about it though. "Yes, yes, we'll see," said Verstappen for the camera of Ziggo Sport.

Verstappen looks at himself

When Jack Plooij asked him about the shorter free practice sessions, he didn't want to worry too much about that either.

"I think everything will be a bit closer together in terms of runs, but otherwise it won't make much difference."

With Perez, Verstappen does have a new teammate in 2021, and that collaboration is pleasing so far.

"Yes, fine. He's very relaxed, so I think that's good."
