F1 LIVE | The final hour of pre-season testing! Who will finish strongest?

Two of the three test days in Bahrain are now over. Red Bull Racing had a strong start, while Mercedes had problems on both days. Follow here live the developments during the third and final day of the pre-season test!

How will Mercedes perform?

As always, most of the limelight has been focused on Mercedes during the two test days so far. On Friday, Valtteri Bottas had a gearbox issue. The car wasn't performing well during the afternoon for Lewis Hamilton, who went onto get stuck in the gravel trap on Saturday morning. To add to their woes, customer team Aston Martin experienced a gearbox issue of their own. 

However, during the second session on Saturday things started to improve for the World Champions. Bottas missed the first 60 minutes but racked up the laps later on. By the end of the session, he was on top of the timesheets. How will they perform on Sunday?

Sunday's drivers

On the second day of testing, Max Verstappen had a break while Sergio Perez drove his first real test for Red Bull Racing, but on the third day, the Dutchman will be back on track. Perez will also be in action in the morning.

Mercedes split the day again with Bottas getting the morning session and the seven-time world champion taking over in the afternoon. All teams will split their drivers apart from Alfa Romeo and Williams. Kimi Raikkonen gets the day to himself in the Alfa Romeo. And George Russell will make his first appearance of 2021 for Williams.
