After an intense season the Formula 1 circus is now slowly leaving the European continent. As a result, it is still a bit of a World Championship. Starting in Turkey, just after crossing the Bosphorus.

Istanbul's circuit is on the Asian side of the city, so the F1 circus will be saying goodbye to European territory this weekend. This also means that the starting times will change slightly. In fact, some of those times have been pushed forward even more than would normally be the case.

Race starts extra early

Because of the three hour time difference, the free practice and qualifying sessions are held at the times you can expect them. FP1 starts Friday at 8:00, FP2 at 12:00 and FP3 on Saturday morning at 9:00. Qualifying also starts that afternoon at 12:00.

However, the start time of the race on Sunday has been brought forward another two hours. This starts at 13:10 local time, which means that people in the UK will have to watch the start of the race on Sunday morning at 10:10.
