This weekend, the FIA will once again strictly monitor the crossing of track limits during the Eifel Grand Prix. At the Nürburgring it is turn four that is being closely watched by the race management.

The exit of turn four, a short right turn, has been designated by the FIA as a place where drivers can gain an advantage by leaving the track. According to Motorsportweek.com in the notes of race director Michael Masi, the lap times of drivers who exceed track limits during practice or qualifying will be cancelled.

During the race on Sunday, the corner will also be closely monitored. "Drivers who do not take the exit of turn four three times during the race will be shown a black and white flag, any further cutting will then be reported to the steward," said Masi. However, these regulations will not apply to drivers who are forced to leave the track, Masi added.
