Hamilton has no regrets: 'Never made a secret of the fact that I am a Ferrari fan'

Lewis Hamilton has been driving Mercedes since 2013, but throughout his career the Briton has also been associated with Ferrari. Now that the end of his F1 career is approaching, it remains to be seen whether Hamilton will be disappointed.

Hamilton has actually been driving for Mercedes for years. As a young boy, Hamilton is picked up by McLaren-Mercedes during his time in karting. The top team fighting for the world title during that period with drivers like Mika Hakkinen could use such a young talent. Hamilton is growing steadily and after his title in GP2 he gets the chance at McLaren.

Hamilton has no regrets

In 2007 Hamilton just missed the title, but in 2008 he hit the mark. After that it went downhill for McLaren and in 2013 Hamilton decided to switch to Mercedes. Many declare him crazy, but the choice turns out to be a multi-star move. Asked whether he regrets never having gone to Ferrari, the Brit is clear: ''No.''

''I have never made a secret of the fact that I am a Ferrari fan. I have a few of them in my garage and I hope that in time I can fight with them again for the world title before my career ends'', concludes Hamilton versus Sky Italia. At the moment Hamilton will be happy that he doesn't have to sit in Ferrari.
