The former manager of Michael and Ralf Schumacher had a stroke. Willi Weber is now announcing this himself to the German Bild. The 78-year-old German has now returned home.

''I woke up in the middle of the night and tried to get some water, but I just didn't want it in my hand. However, I thought I had worked out too hard and fell asleep again,'' says Weber to the German Bild. Hours were lost and when Weber woke up the problem was much worse than at night.

Weber in hospital

''When I woke up I couldn't speak to my wife and she immediately called the hospital. There I was diagnosed with a stroke''. In a stroke something goes wrong in the brain. Part of the brain is deprived of oxygen for a shorter or longer period of time. This causes sudden failure symptoms.

Weber stayed in Stuttgart hospital for nine days, but recovered. ''I couldn't swallow any more, so I had to be fed. However, I was lucky. I can talk, eat and even walk again. I pray every day that it will stay that way'', concludes the manager who became famous for his work for the Schumachers.
