UPDATE: Verstappen can start in Hungarian GP

Max Verstappen ended up in the wall in Hungary during his warm-up lap. Whether the Red Bull Racing driver will be able to compete at the Hungaroring is unclear. The front of the RB16 is badly damaged so the Austrian race stable is now busy repairing the car.

During a reconnaissance lap in Budapest Verstappen lost grip on the wet asphalt. In the treacherous conditions the 22 year old Dutchman ended up in the wall and couldn't do anything anymore.

Update: Verstappen start in Hungary

Max Verstappen can still start at the Hungaroring thanks to the fast work of his team Red Bull. De Limburger thanks his team: "Incredible work guys, that's unbelievable. Thank you very much."

A grid penalty was very close, but the mechanics of the Austrian team barely made the deadline.
