The situation at Ferrari has escalated quite a bit. Sebastian Vettel leaves the team at the end of 2020, but made it clear to the media that the story of Ferrari was not the truth. However, according to Kimi Raikkonen, the relationship is not as bad as it is portrayed now.

Raikkonen looks at Vettel

Vettel and Ferrari announced before the first Grand Prix of 2020 that the German will start his last season at Ferrari. Carlos Sainz will replace the German, but where the team announced that it had been decided by mutual agreement, Vettel announced in Austria that this was not the case. He had never had any offer or conversation.

''I spoke to him last weekend when we saw each other before the start and that's all. I don't know what's going on there and that's none of my business. It is therefore not for me to comment on whether someone has been treated unfairly, because I don't know'', says Raikkonen at the press conference in the presence of Autosport.com.

Advantage for Leclerc

Raikkonen, however, does not feel that the situation is as bad as it is now. ''I doubt they have such a bad relationship as people are sketching right now. Of course it goes like this sometimes and you leave the team. We'll see what happens in the future, you'd better ask him,'' says the Finn dryly.

Raikkonen also doesn't believe that Vettel will be treated differently from Charles Leclerc now. ''I'm sure they'll be treated the same. It is also to the advantage of Ferrari to do so, so I don't see any reason why they would disadvantage Vettel now'', concludes the driver of Alfa Romeo.
