What the Formula 1 season of 2020 will eventually look like is as yet unclear. Eight races are now on the calendar, but drivers, teams, fans and the organisation are hoping for more. Daniel Ricciardo seem have an idea of a number of races to make it a championship worthy season.

Daniel Ricciardo will start his last season for Renault in 2020, even though the Australian has only joined them last year. He thinks that a Formula 1 season as it looks now is still short of real championship value, but according to the Renault driver F1 doesn't need to add ten extra races.

Ricciardo not completely enthusiastic

''If we get more than ten races, I think it's enough races to identify a real world champion. The atmosphere will of course be very different this season without fans, but at least we can race and that's what it's all about for us drivers in the end'', said Ricciardo in the podcast In the Fast Lane.

However, Ricciardo also sees a big disadvantage in starting racing again. ''That corona test is really no fun and we just have to do it about thirty times this season. I'm really not happy with that and I'm certainly not looking forward to it'', concludes the Australian who will indeed be tested many times to prevent contamination of the coronavirus.
